Computer Technologies Program in Berkeley, CA, is a vocational training program for people with disabilities. We run a transitional employment/social enterprise program called the Computer ReUse Center where we repair and refurbish computers for the benefit of the community and people enrolled in our programs.
We began our training program in 1974 and our refurbishing program was formally developed in 2011 based on work we had been doing for decades as part of our commitment to the needs of our community. |

Computers For Children, Inc. (CFC) was established in 1997. CFC is the first nonprofit agency in New York State, and the second in the nation to refurbish and repurpose corporate computers. CFC's core mission is specifically to address the digital and technology divide in schools.
Our programs and leadership have received national recognition for our work in bringing technology to underserved communities. CFC's innovative approach to product development and building partnerships resulted in CFC being invited to serve as an advisor on education and technology to the United States Congress.
CFC programs have touched the lives of nearly 100,000 at-risk school-age kids.

Refurbished Computers for California Schools and People in Need

Complete refurbished computer systems with a Windows OS and MS Office 2010, guaranteed for 1 year, starting at $100.
Computers for Classrooms was started in 1991 as a volunteer program to refurbish donated computers for schools. Now CFC can serve schools, college students, senior citizens, low income families, and non-profits. We are a non-profit organization that is associated with the Chico Unified School District.
At a recent legislative hearing Computers for Classrooms was described as a model program for the state of California. Most schools cannot pay their technicians to do the work performed by the CFC staff and volunteers. Schools are desperately needing Core 2 Duo, and i-core series computers or higher in order to run current programs. The computers the schools no longer use are excellent for family use. |

Our Goal at Computers For The Autistic Foundation is to provide a service to the disabled community especially today's youth a way to communicate with their own peers and a tool for their education without the hassle of going out to buying a PC that will later on it no longer functioning and needing repairs that will end up being thrown away or recycled.
What we do as a small organization is recycle and reuse PC's of the past and donate them to today's youth to help those in need without the heavy costs of modern technology of repairs to which old tech such as Laptops, Desktops and mobile devices such as iPad's and Tablets can still be used.without spending so much money. All PC's donated to children in need are not only recycled PC's but also refurbish and rebuilt and given to us by surrounding communities, neighbors and companies. |

Founded in 1990 as a manufacturer of telecommunications equipment in Taiwan, Comtrend opened its North America office in 2002. While selling DSL CPE, we expanded to Routers, Switches, Access points, as well as in-home distribution with powerline and coax adapters.
