The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is a non-profit organization that has been reducing unnecessary electronic waste since 2004. We reduce adverse environmental contribution through electronics recycling, repurposing and through the donation of electronics and other IT Equipment. With a number of drop off locations around Canada based primarily out of Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Saskatoon, Toronto, Montreal and Winnipeg, and an electronic pickup service, the ERA provides a meaningful way for organizations and individuals to deal with their old computer equipment in a safe and secure manner that matches or exceeds government standards. |

Mission:
Founded in 1999, The On It Foundation – [Opportunities Necessary to Increase Technology] is a National 501(c)(3) public non-profit whose mission is dedicated to providing free computers and computer training to low-income families with students in grades K-12 that receive a free or reduced school lunch, attend a public/home school and reside within the United States.
Youth Employment Program (YEP):
Our Youth Employment Program (YEP), assist high school students in obtaining invaluable professional, technical and programming skill-sets as well as refurbishing training by providing business services such as web design, social media marketing and refurbished computers to small businesses around the country.
The Jump On It! Program:
The On It Foundation has made further provisions for those families that do not qualify for a free computer, yet cannot afford to purchase one because of bad credit or little or no disposable income. The On It Foundation’s Computer Guarantee Purchase Program – Jump On It, offers those families a guaranteed way to purchase exceptional, low-cost computers by partnering with local computer distributors that provide very low lay-away plans. The computer distributor donates a percentage from the sale of each computer and the revenue from this program goes toward furthering the On It Foundation’s mission of providing free computers and computer training to the neediest families.
*All proceeds from our Microsoft Registered Refurbisher and Jump On It! program benefit The On It Foundation’s Mission and expansion of our FREE Computer distribution program to low-income families with youth in grades K-12 that reside within the United States. |
