Computer Banc distributes annually over 1750 computers back into the community. As a secondary mission, we have also provided workstations and computer labs to numerous not-for-profit agencies and schools.
Our Strategy is to engage the business community as donors of computer equipment, service organizations as partners in workforce development education, and other service non-profit partners as program distributors to the At-Risk underserved.
Our Plan is to build alliances and create opportunities that foster technology and workforce development training throughout central Illinois.
Computer Banc is a nonprofit United Way member agency. Donations to this program provide charitable organizations and low-income At Risk families and individuals with a reliable source of computers. All equipment is fully warranted and upgraded with licensed versions of Windows Seven Professional and Open Office or MS Office. Systems are also broadband ready.
Computer Banc is a registered collector and refurbisher with the Illinois EPA. Equipment is certified “A” grade (the top industry refurbishment standard) to function at full factory specifications.
