The Madge Collage 540 Token-Ring to ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode) Access Switch enables token ring end stations to communicate with other token-ring end-stations and with ATM end stations over an ATM backbone network. Communication between token ring end stations is facilitated through emulated token ring LANs, which token- ring end stations can access using source routing or transparent bridging.
